Cassava
Project
The
PRHeSS sponsored 150 acres of cassava plantation is now near maturity
and will soon be harvested and processed into many different nourishing
products for the good health of rural Africans in Sierra Leone.
This year, PRHeSS is sponsoring the cultivation of 300 acres of cassava
farm and that is twice the size of the 2008 farm. In its effort to
combat hunger and bring about financial hope for the future, the PRHeSS
has hired one agricultural officer and community developer and two
agricultural technicians to work with the Fallay Wuja community of
Jong Chiefdon, Bonthe District, Sierra Leone, to help improve agricultural
productivity.
Operation Hope, an arm of PRHeSS in Sierra
Leone is working diligently to help fulfill the goals set forth by
PRHeSS in its purposes. The cassava farming is done under the supervision
of the agricultural officer and the technicians.
PRHeSS
is in need of Cassava processing equipment.
